What is the Student Research Symposium?
Each fall semester, the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (CNSM) along with the Jensen Student Access to Science and Mathematics Center provide an opportunity for its students to showcase their collaborative research with CSULB faculty. This year the CNSM Student Research Symposium will take place on Friday, September 16th, 2011 in Ballrooms A, B and C of the Student Union, which is located in the center of the campus, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
   
All CNSM students are encouraged to participate in the Symposium by getting an approved abstract from their faculty mentor and making a poster presentation. The entire CSULB campus community and friends of CSULB are invited to celebrate these students’ accomplishment and examine their research.

Why participate?
This is more than simply a forum to present your research – it is an excellent way for CNSM students to connect and network with other CNSM students and faculty, foster their professional development through their presentation and enhance their resumes. It also gives students the opportunity to experience the other research that is being produced around campus by their peers.

Below you can download the Abstract Submission Guidelines and Symposium Flier. These documents will outline the submission process and list all required documents.
Deadlines and contact information
All Abstract Submission Forms must be received by Monday, August 29th by 4 p.m.
